Bios of FAL and Team

FAL: 1.      Colonel Phillip R. Cuccia, USA (Ret.)

Phil is the Lead for the French and Indian War Session. He is a native of Warren, TX, and a 1989 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point where he received a B.S. in Engineering while majoring in Military History. He received his M.A. and Ph.D. in history from Florida State University where he majored in Napoleonic Studies and minored in U.S. Military History. He also received a M.A. in Security Studies from Sapienza University in Rome, Italy. Phil spent 30 years in the U.S. Army where he served in three major fields: Armor and Armored Cavalry; History Instructor at the United States Military Academy; and Foreign Area Officer and U.S. Army Attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Rome, Italy. Phil also served as the Academic Affairs Officer for the U.S. War College Strategic Studies Institute. Phil retired in 2019 and now teaches graduate history courses for Liberty University and the Napoleonic Section for the War College Basic Strategic Arts Program. He conducts Battlefield Staff Rides in his spare time.
